by | Sep 8, 2021 | Podcast | 0 comments

Dr. Philip Ovadia is a heart surgeon and the founder of Ovadia Heart Health, which has as its mission, “helping our patients make changes through dietary and lifestyle interventions based on the most up-to-date scientific knowledge.” His passion is teaching patients how to stay off of his operating table by fixing their metabolic health. Brian and Philip talk about how doctors and surgeons can protect and improve their patients’ overall health via lifestyle intervention and the close relationship between metabolic health and chronic disease. They also discuss the humility needed to discover truth, the financial and health strain that widespread chronic disease places on the country, the mental health benefits of a low carb lifestyle, and the importance of teaching patients to lead a healthy life post-surgery.

Life’s Best Medicine According to Philip: “Realizing what is important around me—the people that are important around me. My family, friends, and, first and foremost, my wife and two daughters. It is doing your best every day to deliver the help your patients need. You’ve got to have a purpose and you’ve got to realize who you’re here to serve.”

Thank you for listening. Have a blessed day and stay healthy!
