Episode 78: Ken Barlotta Shares his Hope in Grieving process. No Gray Days!

by | Feb 2, 2022 | Podcast | 0 comments

Thank you for tuning in for another episode of Life’s Best Medicine. Ken Barlotta has an outstanding resume, with more than 25 years of sales experience in the health insurance, benefits and broker/consultant markets. Currently, he is the Sr. Vice President of Sales at the health technology company, Zillion. Though his professional history is impressive, Ken is here to discuss something more important.

Brian speaks with Ken about his experience of learning about and walking through his wife’s battle with glioblastoma, and the comfort and peace that comes from faith in God in the midst of hardship, pain, and sadness.

They go on to discuss the steady joyfulness that comes from having hope and security in God, the importance of discovering your spouse’s love language, faith in the face of death, and why it is healthy to be honest with God and not seek to hide anything from Him. They talk about the ongoing process of grief, why the problem of evil is not a reason to abandon faith, facing the reality of death in a way that doesn’t lead you to despair, and how to walk in compassionate wisdom with a grieving friend or family member.

Life’s Best Medicine According to Ken: “Praise Him! I make every day count in a way that is pleasing to God in everything that I say and do. I wish I could tell you that I make it work all that time but, for me personally, every day is gift. What you do with that gift is your decision. Get up every day and praise Him for the day and make the most out of it because we are never guaranteed tomorrow.”

Thank you for listening. Have a blessed day and stay healthy!
