Thank you for tuning in for another episode of Life’s Best Medicine. Nevada Gray is a Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Nutrition Coach from the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). She is a registered nurse and a pharmacist, has successfully put her PCOS and pre-diabetes into remission, and made a miraculous recovery from a severe spinal cord injury (cauda equina syndrome).
In this discussion, we talk about physician/pharmacist burnout, the power of lifestyle intervention for mind, body, and soul, how to deal with people who behave rudely and disrespectfully to you in a healthy way, how to relate to people compassionately, why Brian and Nevada started their own podcasts, the danger of having unrealistic expectations of yourself with regard to being liked by everyone, the basis of faith, spontaneous remission, and healing miracles.
Life’s Best Medicine, according to Nevada: it is being empowered to know that every moment is a chance to choose again. It is knowing that it is ok to be an imperfect person. It is remembering to tell people how you feel about them, and remembering that our time is short. It is learning to see the good and loving people bravely.
Life’s Best Medicine, according to Brian: it is what works for you. For me, it is faith. Finding your place of peace, your comfort, and your meaning and stepping into that. It is loving your family, friends, neighbors, and being kind to people who are unkind to you. It is connecting with someone despite the many “differences” that separate us. Life’s worst medicine is harboring bitterness and resentment.
Thank you for listening. Have a blessed day and stay healthy!
